I haven't subscribed to one specific parenting style. But, I have found that the techniques of positive parenting resonate deeply with me and my family. Positive parenting tools, strategies, and skills provide the solutions that are best for my entire family.
Everyone wants smiles, playfulness, and moments that bond us tightly together as a family. When our kids feel safe, they will venture into the world and spread their wings. And they can return to you to knowing they are accepted and loved.
Gentle communication allows me to pause, take a breath, and calm down in order to see my sons from a different perspective.
Seeing a different perspective allows me to see, even my strong willed child, for who he genuinely is. Then we can all move forward with the positive ideas, thoughts, and communication that resolve conflicts.
